90 Points

Sunday, January 4, 2015 - The nose showed dark, moist earth, herbs and charred meat, with blackberry fruit and a hint of licorice emerging over time. On the palate, it was amazingly soft textured, yet no longer showing the concentration of it's youth. Notes of blackberry, cherry cola and minerals lasted through to the finish, yet a hint of heat subtracted a bit from the experience.

Maybe a bad bottle, but more likely on the downward swing of it's maturity. It's always hard to tell with CdP. It's still enjoyable, but no where near the experience from years ago, which found this bottle a home in my cellar.
