Saturday, April 13, 2024 - Nose of bay leaf, liquorice root, and blackcurrant. Syrah* shows clearly and it almost reminds me of carbonic macerated wines. Violets and squid ink, blackberry leaves. Oak is not very pronounced, but it’s certainly there.
Medium+ in body and alcohol with medium acidity and tannin. Eucalyptus, cigar wrapper, dry pu’er tea with its earthiness.
8+/18 but I like this one more than the Pine Ridge we just had.

*I could swear I’ve read somewhere that the wine has a significant proportion of Syrah, but I am struggling to find a tech sheet right now and most sources only mention Cab and Merlot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
