Sunday, February 24, 2008 - Very nearly Syrah in appearance and dark fruit and brown sugar aromas to match. Flavors and aromatics are compressed, but there is a purity and softness here that still prevail. A little closed and young and even clumsy, but all the structural components are in the right places and proportions. With time, drowsy muted dark fruit flavors should evolve and lift. Better in a year.
