Saturday, October 28, 2023 - 2021 Burgundies: Côte de Nuits reds and Côte de Beaune whites: mid-yellow colour. clean nose of pear, fresh peach, delicate white blossoms, beeswax, and a note of oak. of silky texture, a mineral vein leads to subtle but growing fruit flavours deftly lifted by a pleasant acidity. some accents come into display and tend to be herbal and spicy rather than nutty. elegant, balanced and long.

needs a couple to a handful of years and should age beautifully.

13.5% AbV; from a large monopole vineyard heavily affected by the frost; vines are ~80y.o.; 25% of the wine sees new oak, and the remainder second-use barrels, all 350L.
