Thursday, September 28, 2017 - Wine Dojo blinds (SF Wine School, South San Francisco): (blind)
Medium minus ruby.
White pepper, sweet cherry (possible carbonic), and blackberry. Faint herbal stemmy green tea notes - semicarbonic and stem inclusion.
Dry, 13% alcohol (12.5%), high acid, medium tannins- papery.

Laterals
- N. Rhone Syrah - except the fruit is redder and sweeter than I'd expect (signs of carbonic maceration) and the color is a bit light for Syrah.
- S. Rhone GSM - too high acid.
- Cru Beaujolais - color and carbonic fit, and the pepper, but the tannins are too aggressive for Beaujolais.

Final Call: Crozes Hermitage 2015 (ripe cherry)
Actual: Fleurie
Looks like my structural calls were all a little off. I might have allowed for a Moulin-A-vent, but not a Fleurie. This just seemed way more hefty. Looks like I was just de-calibrated.
