Friday, September 29, 2017 - Rusty color. Good shape of wine. Starts declining slowly. Powerful tertiary aromas of boiled vegetables, mushrooms, old furniture.
medium(+) acidity. Round, elegant. Compote of red berries. Cedar.
That was a pure experiment of buying poor vintage of village appellation wine from a solid winemaker.
2 takeaways:
1) Choose the producer over the terroir.
2) It is safe to buy not so good vintage from a good winemaker.
