Saturday, March 23, 2024 - Gorgeous stuff, open-knit and perfumed, quite floral and herbal, the whole cluster influence is very clear, and it lends a charming character reminiscent of Pinot Noir, though in this case it would be very ripe Pinot Noir.

Aromas of dried rose petals, spring flowers, peppery herbs, dried pine needles, black raspberry, strawberry, kirsch, a little blood orange and lavender, fennel, tarragon and thyme, a touch of raw cacao and brown bread... this kinda has a yeasty sponti natty vibe on the nose... Full and soft on the palate, super spicy and herbal, beautiful intensity of fruit both juicy fresh and liqueur-like, tannins are fine and will resolve soon. Finish is long and dynamic, spicy, herbal, foresty, ripe and beautifully tangy, floral and fecund.... So open and easy already, this feels like it may mature on a relatively fast track, but in a good cellar it should be worth following at least 10 years, maybe 20+.
