Thursday, April 4, 2024 - Had this wine in a restaurant the other night for under 2 bills. Decanted at the table. I've been drinking Pio Cesare since the late 90s and have had many vintages back to the 60s and I always love it. Such a a great wine for the money!

Really pure red fruits (strawberry, cherry,raspberry) some tar, flowers, and tea. Tannins are very smooth and the wealth of fruit makes it perfectly drinkable now but it's structure will allow for a fairly long life I believe. Not sure if it will shut down or not but it's drinking beautifully now so try it when you can.
