Sunday, February 11, 2024 - Medium purplish ruby color.

Big oak presence (could be American oak) - vanilla caramel top note. Graphite, cedar scents. Red fruit - cherry and strawberry - is ripe and ample. Just enough acidity to keep things in check. Some meaty savoriness is emerging in midpalate. Finishes with licorice, spice, black tea and orange peel.

This is a big wine with strong oak overtone. Still, it has a sense of balance and structure, leaving me quite satisfied.
