Pop and pour, no decant. Cork seal.

A quality juicy Quaffer; decent ripe red fruit, ripe enough to be almost rich, with good acid balance and soft tannins which approach crunchy but don’t actually get there. Near-Dry on the scale, not properly Dry. Solid medium-body. Just a hint of green tomato stalk, though not sappy. Flavours obvious and bold though not especially long. It’d be perfect rustic red - though not so rustic it’s raw around the edges - for a joyous night in a loud busy pasta/pizza cafe. I liked it very much, though I expected to because I’ve been drinking this Greek bargain for a few years now.

Not mature, obviously, but I’m guessing just another 3 years cellar time would see it better than it’s ever going to be.

I’m guessing this would be better for an hour decant. Previously I’ve put the cork back, drank it the second night and that second tasting has been so much better.
(Actually, I’m going to cork stop this bottle, come back tomorrow night, make notes/score on that.)

VFMoney/QPR?…..costs approx £12.00 and feels like a £18.00 wine, so I’m happy.
