Friday, September 15, 2023 - PnP. Ruby w/ orange-tinged pink edge in color. Pungent nose of macerated strawberries, cherry cola & sweet mesquite. On the palate: sour cherries, strawberries, sweet tannins & glints of five spice powder. Silky tannins are perceived only slighly on gums. Long finish of red berries, sweet tannins and subtle spice. Has a very Burgundian profile and think this would gain another point (and some more complexity as the sweet turns into tertiary flavors) with a few years in the cellar or a bit more aeration before enjoying.
