Thursday, April 11, 2013 - A night of Loire wines (Browntrout, Chicago IL): Nose: This was wound a bit tight at first, but then opened up into fragrant tones of crushed rocks, white fruits, along with notes of wax and smoke.
Taste: Medium/light bodied with crisp medium+ acidity. The acidity is still quite noticeable with well balanced tones of crushed rocks, white fruits, wax, and some honeydew.
Overall: This was very interesting. Before this I never had a muscadet with age on it. This held up very well and was very enjoyable.
