Friday, April 24, 2015 - Upon first opening the nose was entirely restrained. Decanting 1 hour helped a lot. Deep ruby, almost black in color. Blackberry, cassis, and dark chocolate. Full bodied, not overly extracted, lots of oak. Not overly complex, but nicely put together with well integrated acid and tannin. A little heat from the alcohol on the finish, but not a turn off.
