Sunday, February 20, 2022 - I’m not in agreement with the past few reviews that suggests this is at peak. This is far past, at least the bottle we had. Color is a medium red-purple with a bit of bricking at the rim. Right away on the nose you get a yellow flag that this wine is tired - vinegary, “heat” in the glass despite being served at cellar temperature. Palate had just a hint of pleasant cherry and black currant, but was all secondary at this point. No tannin or even oak to back up any of the faded fruit. Certainly not a disaster but I expect better given the price point and only 17 years old. Too many other great producers out there to buy this again.
