Monday, January 19, 2009 - Sweet raspberry fruit jam with touches of leather and bubble gum. The nose is quite sweet but appealing for sure. The flavors come across not too much like a cab. The bubble gum flavors are there again with sweet blackberries. Little to no tannins present. For $7, you really cannot ask for too much. It is more of a cellar saver than anything. My recommendation is to step up to the normal Vina Santa Rita cab for a few bucks. It possesses more cab character. This one is more syrah (aussie, yellow tail) than Cab.
