Saturday, January 20, 2024 - I tasted this at the winery in May, but forgot to post my hand written notes at the time. Era represents AO's flagship wine - a blend of select barrels of their single vineyard cabs that are barrel fermented.
This is a very dark, deep wine, black and blue fruited, with vanilla, leather and notes of camphor. Very dense but integrated tannins, and a long lingering finish. My only complaint is the high price tag on a relatively large production wine (2300 cases, I believe)
