Friday, November 17, 2023 - While I know it is blasphemy to open this wine so young, the options on the wine list were all super young so I didn’t have a choice. To my surprise, this was already approachable. There is a ton going on in the glass. The light ruby color suggests it would be a more feminine wine. However, it is actually a beast. Wonderful center core of fruit wrapped in firm tannin and underlying earthy notes. High acidity with some green stem/grapefruit rind on the finish. Lovely. Paired nicely with duck breast. While I recommend cellaring this for another 10+ years, it is hard to resist now.
