Sunday, February 3, 2008 - Color is very nice with some brownish purple and dark red tones. Obvious nose of vanilla, chocolate cake, and rasberry syrup. Very large and mouthcoating on the palate with flavors as above and other more earthy coffee tones as well. Tannins are just enough to cut through the sweetness of this wine and the finish is long and floral. Not really a fan of dessert wines, but this is worth ordering more.
Overall, this was different and excellent.
