Thursday, September 21, 2023 - he nose is rather monolithically cherry compote (think maraschino cherries, baking spices, and cherry liqueur), but it never struck me as disappointing as I kept getting drawn back into this captivating aroma. It’s full bodied on the palate: Thick, smooth, slightly sweet, smooth-ish, and very juicy. The flavor profile features black cherry, plum, black currant, kirsch, baking spice, and dried sage. Another great RRV appellation wine, it’s complete and good now after a long decant.
