Wednesday, November 1, 2023 - A very fine nose with obvious but well handled oak including some smoke and hints of vanilla, ripe pear, citrus and mineral. Medium(+) bodied with apple, pear, citrus, fine acidity, mineral and a rather long aftertaste. Young but reasonably approachable, 91+ pts.
It is a well built and pure wine but a bit on the lean side for a grand cru, but that's probably to be expected in the 2021 vintage, although the acidity is not overly prominent. I expect this to improve with time as lead but well made Corton-Charlies typically do, but I have no experience from this specific producer.
