Sunday, October 28, 2012 - I'm not sure if this bottle was flawed. Decanted for a half hour before tasting and drinking. The nose had a little green pepper while the palate was dominated by it. Some coffee notes were there as well. There was still quite a bit of tannin. The character completely changed with food. I had a marinated hanger steak with red wine demi glace. Combined with the beeef, the green pepper completely disappeared from the palate and was replaced with cassis, dark berrries and leather, a much better experience.
