Sunday, January 2, 2022 - From one of the princes of Hermitage, itself the king of Syrah (too much?). A little bit of fruit left, cassis mainly , and plenty of savory aromas of saucisson and foie gras. Developed more pepper, olive, and acidity during dinner. Always fascinating to drink a premium wine with a good deal of bottle age! Very good Bessards specificity, but somehow doesn't come fully together; a bit disjointed but overall pretty good.
