Saturday, March 30, 2013 - Dark purple color, quite youthful. The nose is expressive and direct with plums. The palate is not complex but does sport plums, graphite, and minerals. There is average acidity and depth, but the tannins are beginning to dry out this wine. The finish is average with apparent tannins that clip the fruit. Overall, this is simple and nondescript. A cautionary note, serving temperature is very important. As this warmed, it became hot and less focused.
