Saturday, March 2, 2024 - Deep gold color with a slight caramel tint. Dried and fresh orange peel and apricot, grilled ripe pineapple, burnt sugar, and slight pencil shavings. Creamy mousse. Rich and round, but also just a bit of sharpness. Long finish. 9 g/L but not at all sweet. Style is mid-point between reductive and oxidative. 40% PN, 20% PM, 40% Chard. 95% MLF. 12% newly-used oak. 50% reserve wines of 5-15 years, averaging 7 years. -Much from WSG Champagne class with Essi Avellan
