Saturday, September 8, 2012 - Bottle disgorged 2009. This was an outstanding bottle of NV Champagne.
Wonderful deep golden color, plenty of streaming bubbles including small ones.
Nice nose of bread, golden apple and d'anjou pear.
On the palate, this opened up nicely with a little time. All elements were well integrated. The acidity was excellent while flavors of baked apple pie, ripe d'anjou pear, warm crusted bread were all well balanced. The bubbles remained throughout and there were plenty of fine bubbles.
