Wednesday, October 2, 2013 - Disgorged in 2008. Very mature with toast, nuts and a bit of syrup. At one stage the nose reminded me of birch leaves in the sauna. Time to drink up before the downhill starts, but at the moment this is an enjoyable, mature, Champagne in quite a rich style. A bit too sweet for my taste, though, but the decent acidity keeps it in check.
