Monday, November 28, 2016 - This bottle was "placed in chalk cellars in 2009" according to the back label and disgorged in 2016. I assume that means the base vintage is 2008.

This is an excellent NV and it is clear that there is a substantial amount of reserve wines because it is a very complex and surprisingly mature (considering its age) NV. The dosage is a tad high for my tastes but on the other hand it is really balanced and has a decent acidity. Toast, toffee, ripe fruits, spices. Although it is drinking beautifully already, I have no doubt it will still improve similarly to previous bottlings of this wine that i have had (according to my CT stats I have had 19 bottles of this before, most of them with some age). I need to buy more of this!
