Tuesday, December 3, 2019 - "Dégorgé en 2015, mis en crayères en 2008", so this is based on the 2007 vintage, which is not the most inspiring on paper. Good pale gold colour with fine fizz in the glass, exploding nicely in the mouth.
The nose has yellow fruit and some honey, but not in an oxidative way.
The mouth comes across as dry, even slightly austere in the finish, but the overall balance is very good. Superb with smoked salmon.
A repeat purchase, and I must make an effort to acquire bottles with a better base vintage.
