Tuesday, December 22, 2020 - Nose > Creamy lees, lemon/lime, sea shell, red berry, lavender, semolina bread,
with a touch of anise.
More pungent & meaty/Pinot with air.
Palate > Big, round, mouth-filling. Rich, pungent, slightly earthy, red fruit, citrus pith, lime
& lime bitters.
Creamy, rich leesyness balanced against pungent red fruit, quinine & citrus.
Great balance, excellent intensity & length.
Hides its sugar well, but still wish this had lower dosage (& could certainly handle it, & be a better wine for my palate).
Disgorged 2019; 3 years on the lees; 40% reserve wines averaging 10yo.
