Saturday, January 2, 2021 - Three more from a case (2010 base, 2017 disgorgement). Gorgeous as always. Comfortingly yellow gold colour. Lively mousse but which dissipated quickly on this occasion despite being served in small flutes. Very persistent microscopic bubbles. Very toasty and welcoming nose. Lots of melted butter and toasted marshmallows...quite vinous. Palate is a nice tension of fresh acidity, minerality and oyster jus followed by toasted 'Hovis' brown bread on the finish. One of my favourite NV Champagnes and always a crowd-pleaser. Ridiculously good QPR.
