Wednesday, December 2, 2015 - Unplanned Nicolas Potel Session (B&B Parkway): Tasted blind. Pop and pour. Drank over 2+ hours.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, garnet colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of fragrant earth, sweet spice, leather, black cherries, dark plums, and hints of soy sauce. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), dusty medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of black cherries, dark plums, slight prunes, leather, earth. Medium+ finish.
Good quality Nuits wine. Dark feel. Drinking well now. Unlikely to improve much more with further age.
