Friday, September 16, 2011 - Drank at Stone Barns at Blue Hills commemorating my 35th birthday. From open, it was perfect. 35 years...and aged better than I have! Richer than a classic Burgundy, with earthy spice, this rioja exhibited impressive structure--bright, ripe red fruits, blood orange...and black pepper, cherry smoke and leather.
I hope have as much life left as this wine...wonderful!
