Saturday, November 21, 2015 - Another wonderful, perfumey showing for this earth, barnyard, and dark berry driven wine. The nose on this wine gave such pleasure that half the times I went in for a sip, I just lingered with my face in the glass, sniffing. The soil, wildflowers, and touch of barnyard on the nose were captivating. On the palate, the 2000 came out of the gate with dark berry flavors, like blackberry cobbler, and a generous touch of wet earth, mushroom, tobacco leaf, and a subtle funk in the background. Low alcohol, medium acidity, and an overall delicate impression. Wonderful. Underrated. And drinking beautifully.
