90 Points

Tuesday, June 15, 2010 - Opens with a nice nose featuring spice, brown sugar, and dark cherries. This was a prelude to a well-integrated palate of sweet oak, fruit and tannins, with a delicate pinot entry and an interesting, almost port-like finish that highlighted an herbal element. Neverthless, while not syrupy, a slighty unctious, port-like pinot noir is not my style. On day one, there was some detectable heat, but it faded over time - I think this will improve (for my tastes) with time.
