A little muted on the nose, but grows with some air into sweet plum, cherry and currant confection, which never veers to sweet. Palate is ripe and sweet, very deep and dark, seems to have layers of flavour. Tannins are still pronounced, the dryness of them pervades the wine at this stage. It is not as approachable as the 707 - much more like the St Henri. Depth of flavour is incredible though. There is a really long length of finish, which almost seems to get sweeter rather than drier. Overall, not quite as amazing as the Bin 707 at this stage, but a complete wine with superb balance. Superb.
