Sunday, July 9, 2023 - Purchased on futures. Stored at 57 deg. F and 80% RH. Decanted for 2 hrs. Upon initial opening and decanting the nose was restrained. Upon retrieving the decanter after 2 hrs. the nose of the wine had fully developed and filled the cellar. In the glass notes of blueberry, blackberry, and currant roared from the glass! No bret was present.

Similar flavor notes were apparent in the taste along with cedar and tobacco. The wine was nicely balanced with no tannins evident. The finish wasn't as long as I would like, but it is definitely drinking really well now.

It paired well with a bbq'd New York steak and grilled corn.
