Sunday, February 22, 2004 - Dark red. Somewhat alcohol heavy on the nose. There are also notes of mustard and dark berries. Excellent definition and degree of detail with a confident, precise delivery. Very powerful, yet sweet to the core - like a modern day version of the 1990. The flavour echoes coffee and moccha, and the width is superb - structured and symmertrical with no flabbiness at all. The complexity was very nice and the finish faded slowly on chocolate notes. After tasting this wine I have traded a case of Montrose for this. Love it, love it, love it.
