Saturday, October 5, 2013 - Outstanding bottling from this outstanding vintage. Still very early but a four hour decant brought out the refinement and complexity of this St. Julien, which has a strong mid-palate characterized by red fruit notes and classic but somewhat understated lead pencil notes in the finish. We had it with homemade cassoulet including duck confit and it was a perfect complement.
