Tuesday, December 27, 2016 - all 2000's: none blockbusters, all good and enjoyable w/ prime tenderloin xmas eve dinner. pontet canet was inferior to the other 3 with regard to concentration of fruit.

malescot exupery: lighter, pretty and elegant, ripe tart cranberry. 92-94

pape clement: lead pencil, minerality, darker fruits. 92-94

leoville poyferre: biggest of the wines, and more structure than the first 2, long finish. 92-94

pontet canet: least favorite, most austere/acidic/structured of the bunch, wanting for more fruit compared to others. 90
