95 Points

Wednesday, January 11, 2017 - Fifth bottle of the tasting and served alongside the 1996 LP. Dark red with purple highlights. Aggressive aromas of black fruits, cassis, graphite, leather and hint of licorice. Quite full bodied in the mouth revealing sweet crushed black cherries and cassis liqueur, dark chocolate, medium (-) acidity, fine tannins still present, well integrated wood and a long cedar/tobacco filled finish.
