Friday, December 29, 2017 - Gave this a 90-minute decant and followed for 4 hours. A rich, expressive nose of cassis, cigar box, and dark fruits. With time the nose became more foresty alongside richer cigar notes. Cool but full on the palate, moving into a focused, tobacco-laced finish. Did this wine blow me away? I don't think so. But was it excellent with plenty of years to go? Absolutely.
