Tuesday, September 18, 2018 - OMG.....what a nose! After the barnyard blows off, tons of lead pencil, red rose petal.....still dark in the glass, no lightening at the rim, still a dark ruby edge. Intense classy refined red/black fruit on entry, you cannot confuse this with jammy-ness. Nope nada....., with just a slight hint of tart cherry to the fruit which carries all the way through to the beautiful integrated and ever so slightly moderately acidic ending which goes on for a good 30-40 seconds after you finally swallow. Decanted over 3 hours before dinner of pan charred prime ribeye and enjoyed with and after dinner over 2 more. This certainly can go longer, but I prefer my BDX in this window right here....fantastic job, Didier! Thank you for this LP legacy......

I got it at an auction last year (a 1.5L) and noticed the foil cap was very loose, it lifted right off to reveal a cork that had some funny waves across the top of it, it wasn't completely flat as a pancake as corks should be. I have a suspicion someone removed it, sampled the wine or worse yet filled the bottle with an imposter, then put it up for sale. I notified the auction house and they never responded but I am documenting everything and when finally opened I will videotape the process for evidence.

There are differences in the labels (slight font differences) and having tasted the first one of this new lot it didn't remind me of the first bottle of the original lot. The second lot may be counterfeit. Really unfortunate to have to worry about such things!...

The bottle is authentic, just not sure about the wine yet, lol.....it could be the owner just removed the cork to sample and see where it was at, didn't like it and put it up for auction. Could have been cooked and cork pushed out and set back down in funny by someone. Who knows? It'll probably be at least another year before I open it for something special, I guess I'll find out then. I hope yours is not counterfeit! Different label, if from same year seems fishy to me. There can be little changes from year to year with labels though......
