Saturday, December 15, 2018 - Decanted for 3 hrs, it became its best on the 3rd hour. Dark ruby in color, big legs, quite aromatic. Great nose: blackberry, currant, cassis, earth, truffle, leather, chocolate, violets Note of minerality/graphite. On the palate medium to full body, quite opulent, smooth, silky texture, tannins still quite present but mellowing down. Notes of currant, boysenberry, cassis, leather, truffle on the palate. Finish is long >45 seconds and chewy. Amazing wine. 95 pt. Drink now or can age for for 5 more years. I suspect it will be at peak in 3-4 years, potential 96-97 pointer at that time.
