Saturday, October 19, 2019 - This needs another decade at least, but the goods are there. I don't see it rivaling the mind-blowing 1990, but it will become a fantastic wine. Right now, one is presented with aromas of cassis, oak, some earth, faint graphite, and tobacco. The palate has rich fruit and a wonderful mouthfeel. It's a little frustrating because you can feel the potential, but it's just not there yet. It improves with air, but if you only have a few bottles I would strongly recommend against opening one for at least 5 years, preferably 10. Patience.
