Saturday, February 8, 2020 - 96. Blind tasting- 2.5 hour decant, drank over next 2.5 hours, peaked at the 3-4 hour period and seemed to fade after 5 hours. Color- garnet with bricking at the edges. Fragrant nose of potpourri, tobacco, clay and sous bois. Palate- vibrant, clean blackcherry cobbler finish. Great showing. My #1 of 5 bottles- groups #2 behind the Pontet Canet 2000 (rated 93 and was my #2).
