Wednesday, July 8, 2020 - From a magnum
Although this was not WOTN, it was a real treat and grateful to Mark for sharing it!! Absolutely amazing nose and classic St Julien. Not as pronounced on the palate and I think this 20 year old probably wasn’t near its prime yet. Mark had decanted 4 hours and then we drank over the long evening, but it just wasn’t enough time to open up completely.

7/8/2020 5:20:00 PM - I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here, and you're very welcome, so glad to share these with BDX wine friends!....still, I was expecting more from the magnum. I'll be curious as to what you report for the 3rd day....day 2 left me less than dazzled. But that nose was still exqusite, as you said, pretty classic St. Julien.
