Saturday, June 26, 2021 - Truly magnificent Pauillac with a bouquet of Brazilian rosewood, some blackberries, cassis, tobacco leaves and some pencil shavings. Also some umami and slight truffles indicate first tertiary notes. This is probably at the peak right now, but the smooth but crunchy tannins indicate that it should stay at this level for at least another decade or longer. Overall its medium to full-bodied with a 45+ seconds finish. Quite a treat.
