Sunday, July 4, 2021 - Turned out just slightly better than the 2002 Leoville Barton opened next to it. Needed a couple hours open to really balance and smooth the tannins. Very complex and serious wine without much noticeable fruit left. I slightly preferred the 2003 that I opened a couple weeks prior but this one is no joke at all. A few more years may balance it, although I worry that the fruit will go even more.
