Saturday, October 16, 2021 - Paired with the 2003 Poyferré. Both wines were decanted for about 2 hours in the afternoon and then poured back into the (rinsed) bottle for transport to dinner at a friend's. Surprisingly, the 2000 was more approachable than its younger and somewhat tighter sibling (typically the '03s have been drinking better than the 2000s). This was an outstanding bottle and drinking beautifully.
