Tuesday, February 1, 2022 - Decanted 30 minutes. A 98 point nose. I could have stopped and lingered there all night. Blackberries, boysenberry, cassis, Black cherry, blueberries, raspberries with plenty of graphite, other minerals, cedar, dried herbs and flower petals. On the palate the darker fruits come through first and after a couple hours the red fruits dominate the finish - all of which is enveloped with graphite, minerals, sweet Oak, dried herbs. Smooth with tannins still slightly firm but long and elegant. The palate does not match the nose and if I had no nose I'd probably give it only 93 points, but you can't escape the nose.
